I am a simple user. Are the songs free for personal use?
All the available songs are free for every purpose, even promoting your work. A credit to "zero-project", or a reference link to "www.zero-project.gr" is more than fine :)
You can click
here for more details about the license.

I am a professional. Are the songs free for professional use?
Proprietor "zero-project" does not set any additional limitation on the professional use of his music. All the available songs are remaining free under the "Creative Commons 3.0 - Share alike" license.
You can use them even for commercial purposes (background music on a promotion video of your services, for example). You can click here for more details about the license. If you need an acknowledged license or a certificate which proves that you are using legally this music, there are two options:

1) Buying a license from
Jamendo Pro service. You can go to the page of the album which includes the song that you are looking for. After clicking on the "License this music" button, you can choose the song that you need a license for. When the checkout is finished, you can download a high quality WAV or FLAC file of the song, as well as pdf documents for the certificate, the license agreement and the invoice. With this option, you also support "zero-project" because the 50% of your payment for a Jamendo license goes to the artist.

2) Requesting a digital certificate document from
SafeCreative organization
. After you find the song -from the SafeCreative site- that you are looking for, click on its title and you will be redirected to the song's page. From there, you can click on the "Get copyright registration declaration" option. Write your full name and your email in the fields of the popup window. After a while, a pdf certificate will be sent to your email. In this case, no extra WAV or FLAC files are available.
For any other special occasion, please, feel free to contact me.

What are the buttons at the bottom of each page for?

The buttons are placed at the bottom of each page for easier navigation. By clicking on each one of them you can navigate as it is shown in the photo.

How can I listen to a song?
Under every song title there is an mp3 player.

By clicking on the play button, the song starts playing after a short loading time.

What is the time needed for the song to start playing?
After you have clicked the play button, the loading time depends on the speed of your internet connection. For an 1 Mbps ADSL line, just a few seconds are needed.

I don't see any player under the titles of the songs :(

If you see something like this, the Adobe flash player plugin has to be installed into your system. You may also have to enable the execution of "active-X" control. If an indication bar (like the example photo below) appears into your browser asking you to enable active-X, just click "yes".

I click on the play button but I cannot hear anything :(
The link of the song is updated: You may need to clear your browser's cache by pressing the refresh button or the key F5 of your keyboard. Sometimes, the cache memory of your browser cannot be cleared by pressing F5 or "Refresh". You can click on the menu "Tools" -> "Clear private data" -> "Cache memory" (for Mozilla Firefox) or "Tools" -> "Internet options" -> "Clear" from the "History" area, selecting "Temporary internet files" (for Internet Explorer).

What is "widget"?
"Widget" is a short of "Window gadget". This term describes an application that can be distributed and executed through a web browser preserving its original interface. The most common way of reproducing a widget, is by copying its html code and pasting it into a blog's (or site's) html code editor.

I have downloaded a full album in a single .zip file. How do I have access to its contents?

The files with ".zip" extension are compressed files. You can extract the .zip files within Windows by right clicking on a compressed file and selecting "Extract All...".
You can also extract the compressed files using free utilities like 7-zip or TugZip.

Why is an error message appearing when I try to decompress a zip file?

If you get an error message like the example photo above, it means that your download has not been successfully completed. Sometimes, even if it seems that the download was finished, the file that you have downloaded is partial. For example, "zero_project_fairytale_audio_cd.zip" file size is 444 MB, but the downloaded file is about 15 MB. Trying to decompress it, an error message is appearing. In such a case, please, try to download the file again. For big files, use of download managers like
JDownloader, Flashget or Free Download Manager (all the programs are free) is recommended. These programs are a really good choice to manage your downloads, without wasting your time. You can even pause a download and complete it another time.

The high quality download that I have paid for, has failed. What can I do?

There is no reason to worry about :) You can send and email to info@zero-project.gr and you will receive the link of the file you didn't manage to download.

What is the sound quality of the mp3s?
Some older standalone mp3s of this site have been encoded at 128 kbps. 128 kbps is the minimum bitrate for acceptable sound quality, keeping a small file size. The free album downloads are available as mp3s at 160 kbps and ogg vorbis at 128 kbps (because of its better compression algorithm, an ogg vorbis file at 128 kbps is equal to an mp3 file with quality at 160 kbps). Higher quality album archives are available as payable downloads.

What is an audio CD image?

The audio CD image files are packages that include at least two types of information: Content information and CD type information. In our case, contents are the "audio tracks" and CD type is "audio CD". Cue/bin format is a generic type of image file which describes the above information, in order to be used for burning an audio CD image file to a physical CD-ROM disc.

What is the best choice for audio CD burning, mp3 files or audio CD images?
An audio CD image has been made of original wav files, keeping the maximum sound quality. The mp3 algorithm removes some data information from the original files, in order to keep a small file size. The lost information after mp3 encoding can not be recovered again. The differences between an original wav file and a right encoded mp3 file at 192 or 256 kbps are not perceptible on most home audio devices. However, audio CD images, wav and flac files are recommended for high-end sound systems :)

How can I burn an album from an audio CD image to a physical CD-ROM?
You can use a free burning utility like ImgBurn or InfraRecorder in order to "burn" the audio CD image file to a physical CD-ROM disc. Additional information about this issue is available
here.

Why do I see frames around the pictures?

Because of some design improvements the ".png" graphics file format is used instead of the legacy ".gif". The older versions of the browsers may not support photos with transparency in ".png" format. If you see frames around the pictures like the example photo, I think it would be a good idea to update your browser to a new version; it is recommended for better viewing results on many sites :)

Why clicking on an item, the page "not found" is appeared?
The item or the page you are looking for has been updated. In such a case, press the refresh button of your browser, or the F5 key of your keyboard in order to update the contents in your browser.

What browser is recommended?

Mozilla Firefox 3 Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 Opera Apple Safari Google Chrome Avant browser SeaMonkey Chrome plus
